I did a similar deal to my suzi. I don't think my bit was quite long enough though.
Could you let me know how long your bit was?
Also, did you go straight down the middle of the pipe or did you drill through the smaller holes in the outer area of the pipe?
I went so far as to drill an additional hole in the outer area and push through that as hard as I could.
I'm just glad that there's no chance in hell that I'll get a ticket for noise violation (I live in Chicago and my buddy's Harley that he's had for 2 years sets off car alarms as he passes - no tickets for him in 2 years!! No way my little "baby" Savage could be louder than that 1450 monster!!!).
Thanks again. If you're like me, you probably don't want to pay someone 350-600 $$ just to put loud pipes on a bike worth less than $3000.
